Banana
This is an edible fruit, which is botanically classified as a berry, banana belongs to the genus musa. The scientific names of the most common species of bananas are:
  • Musa acuminata
  • Musa balbisiana

Facts

A bunch of bananas is known as a hand, while an individual banana is called a finger.

Banana naturally gives off radiation, sometimes in nuclear communication, the banana equivalent does is use to compare levels of radiation exposures.

Healthy heart
For your heart to be in good shape and condition, eat lots of banana. Banana is rich in potassium (K) hence they serve  as vasodilators, and therefore functions to reduce your blood pressure. Banana can help to remove or cure heart conditions such as atherosclerosis (atheroma) and subsequently angina pectoris, heart attack and stroke by removing the "bad cholesterol" (LDL) from your blood since they are rich in fibre. Cancer
Naturally, bananas are slightly radioactive. This is as a result of their very high levels of potassium (k) content which include small amount of the isotope potassium - 40 (K-40). This occurs naturally as small fragments of the potassium content and is believed to have radiotherapeutic effect against cancer. Banana is said to contain several types of antioxidants, some of which include, dopamine, catechins, delphinidin. The antioxidants delphinidin among others have an anti-tumor properties. In a classical research, it was reported that applying small concentrations of delphinidin to stomach cancer cells inhibits the growth and proliferation of the cancerous cells.

Banana can reverse anaemia because of the high amount of Iron (Fe) it contains. This is because iron is an essential component of your blood.
